As you drive along the many beautiful roads in our Country you will notice that the wildflowers are slowly starting to appear. It may be a little early for Spring, but some of these flowers are showing off their splendour already. This reminded me of the reading from Sunday, where Jesus reminded his followers that God will take care of their needs.
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of
which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in
you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to
not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to
God’s giving." - Matthew 6:30-33 (Message)
As you read these words today remember that God promises us these 3 gifts:
1. He will attend to us
2. He will take pride in us
3. He will do his best for us
Come, let us learn the art of 'relaxing' in the presence of Christ and trusting in his generous love.
