I am
convinced that god hears our cries for mercy and grace. This is the essence of
the easter story, is it not? God hears the struggles of humanity, realises our
deep need for a saviour and so sends us the best god has - his son.
This gift
reveals to us the nature of our god. And so when david cries out to god in
psalm 6, we look back at his song and say to david - "god has heard your
cries. God has heard my cries. Hallelujah!"
Lord, do not rebuke me in your anger
or discipline me in your wrath.
2 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint;
heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony.
3 My soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long? - Psalm 6:1-3
