Upside down

The early disciples got themselves into a lot of trouble and were often accused of "turning the world upside down.” (Acts 17:6) Everything the early church did went against the norms of the day and people felt challenged by their lifestyle.

"To follow Jesus means to follow Jesus into a society where justice rules, where love shapes everything. To follow Jesus means to take up his dream and work for it.”- Scot McKnight

I am not so sure that we are still turning the world upside down (sadly), but we are still called to share the Good News. By it's very nature the 'Gospel' goes against the flow of the world and it will make some people feel uncomfortable. May we learn to present the love of Christ in such a way that it changes the lives of others.
