An interesting statement to make - Hudson Taylor

 

The missionary to China, Hudson Taylor used to have a very strict policy when it came to asking for money for his mission trips and to support all the mission projects. The policy was never to ask for money. He stated, "God's work done in God's way will receive God's supply."

What do you make of this? I personally feel it is an incredible act of faith, showing that he was totally reliant on God. I guess he firmly believed that if he was called to do something for God, that the Lord would provide for him. Of course Hudson Taylor would speak about the work going on these places, but, as far as we know, he never "guilted" anyone into giving money for these mission. He relied on the Spirit to prompt people to give. That takes great faith!

Matthew 8:10 -  When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith."
