All of us would love to celebrate and dine at the Heavenly banquet, but how many of us are interested in the suffering of the Cross?
Mmmmh, can I count you in?
Suffering is not so nice, but feasts and celebrations I can do!
The truth is, we can't have one without the other.
"Jesus has many who love his heavenly kingdom, but few who bear His Cross. Many want consolation, but few desire adversity." - Thomas a' Kempis
Jesus says it like this:
Luke 14:27 - "And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."
The feast awaits, but we may have to endure a time of bearing the Cross.
