Look over there!
Look at that car - person - house - bird!
We use the word 'Look' to draw attention to something significant and today's reading is no different. Micah wants to draw our attention to the fact that God is coming to be with us. The Lord is leaving his throne and will be living amongst us.
"Look! The Lord is coming!
He leaves his throne in heaven and tramples the heights of the earth." - Micah 1:3
This same sentiment is shared in Matthew's gospel.
“Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means ‘God is with us.’” - Matthew 1:23
