Cain's way

The story of Cain and Abel is known by many people - even a large number of non-Church goers have an idea that Cain killed his brother Abel. But, what got him to this point? What tipped Cain over the edge?

Jealousy...
Resentment...
Pride...
Humiliation...
Anger...

It was a concoction of all of these emotions that allowed his mind and heart to be consumed with one solution - murder. Getting rid of Abel would solve all his problems (or so he thought), but in the end it marked the beginning of his 'restless wandering.' Choosing the way of Cain is a dangerous thing. We all face temptations and so we must guard against giving in to the darker parts of our lives.

Jude 11 - "They have taken the way of Cain..."

Ask the Spirit of God to protect your heart today, lest we become like Cain.
