Preaching to yourself

They say that preachers often preach their messages first to themselves and then to their people. As we reflected on Esther today, I was deeply challenged by Esther's account in the Scriptures. Not only was she a beautiful woman, but she was godly, courageous and compassionate. She came to understand that God had raised her up for a particular purpose in a specific time. When the crunch came, she never backed down from her call to speak out for truth and justice. Wow, we can learn a lot from her.

"For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” - Esther 4:14

May we choose to live in the Grace of Jesus,
