4 Pictures

Media shapes our modern thinking and has the power to move us in many directions. However, the power of pictures and art have been visible for centuries before our modern technology even surfaced. "Pictures can paint a Thousand words" - and so generations of artists have used this vehicle to tell stories of great personalities, adventures, romance, and tragedy.

But, what about Jesus?
What pictures do we have of him?
Well, none to be exact. We have impressions and educated guesses, but nothing to concrete.
EXCEPT ... we have thousands of words, written about Jesus Christ, which have in turn, painted a picture of our Saviour.
We could argue that 'a Thousand words have painted a glorious picture of Christ.'

Richard Burridge once said "increasingly the gospels are seen as biography ... 4 pictures, all different ... yet all of one and the same man."

When you read the Gospels, what image of Christ do you see?
