Sometimes we don't realise how good things are until they are taken away from us. This is exactly what happened to the people of Judah - they complained about many things and chose to turn their backs on God, but then when the real heartache arrived, it suddenly dawned on them how precious things were.
"In the days of her affliction and wandering
Jerusalem remembers all the treasures that were hers in days of old." - Lamentations 1:7
I think the lesson in this scripture is obvious for us - don't taken things for granted. One day they may not be there at all.
Have a blessed week.
