Having God on our side seems to me to be a rather arrogant attitude. Who are we to dictate where God stands?
However being on God's side to me means doing what He desires from us. It means we strive to please God and live our lives out in a godly manner.
So it's not about having the almighty God on our side but rather that it is us that need to be on His side.
That way we will be living a righteous life and much less likely to get into situations where we need to say I have God on my side.
I hope I make some sort of sence...
