It's better to aim

It can be a dangerous thing when you take a bow and then shoot the arrow blindly! Not only is it hazardous for those who are standing nearby, but it makes no sense to shoot this way. There is a familiar story of the village idiot who went around doing exactly that - he would load his bow and then shoot wildly. Wherever the arrow would land, he would go up to it and draw a bulls eye around the point. In his mind he was hitting the target every time, but the entire village knew that he was just an idiot!

Is this going to be you and I in 2015? Are we actually aiming at something or will we just draw a 'bullseye' around the year, at the end of December, and claim that we achieved our goals?
So what are you planning to do in this year? It is worth thinking about your aims and goals before other people, work colleagues and society give you a whole lot of tasks to do.

May we aim our 'arrows' at an appropriate target, asking God to direct our steps and decisions.
