Spiritual heroes

Most young boys go through a superhero phase. Josh has recently gone through the Batman phase, where all he ever wants to do is wear his Batman outfit - it is hard to convince a 3 year old that clothes need to be washed sometimes!

Dallas Willard is convinced that our world needs spiritual superheroes. This is what he had to say:

“The world can no longer be left to mere diplomats, politicians, and business leaders. They have done the best they could, no doubt. But this is an age for spiritual heroes- a time for men and women to be heroic in their faith and in spiritual character and power. The greatest danger to the Christian church today is that of pitching its message too low.”

Any thoughts? I'd love to hear from you sometime.

We should not let politicians be our masters. It is so easy to pass on the responsibility to others and then bemoan their actions. We all need to "walk the talk" and make sure that people like Desmond Tutu are not alone in applying a moral compass. Knowing what is right is easy; living what is right is a lot harder.
