Speaking on the topic of Divine love, Thomas a Kempis wrote:
"Love is a great good that makes every heavy thing light. It is not burdened by the load it carries, and it sweetens the bitter. Jesus' noble love inspires us to do great things and to long for a more nearly perfect life. Love wants to live in the heights, and not be grounded by base things."
