God is watching us - but not in the way many of us think. God is watching us, so that he may strengthen us and uphold us. That's what the Bible teaches anyway:
"For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him." - 2 Chronicles 16:9
