Taking Stock

"Let us examine ourselves instead, and let us repent and turn again to the Lord. 41 Let us lift our hearts and hands to him in heaven, 42 for we have sinned; we have rebelled against the Lord, and he has not forgotten it." - Lamentations 3:40-42

We are currently on a District Minister's Retreat and we have been invited to take stock of our relationship with God - it has been a wonderful experience, although very challenging. Jeremiah invited the people of God to "examine themselves" and to then turn back to God. This is a hard thing to do, but very necessary. When last did you "honestly" examine your spiritual life?

2 Corinthians 13:5 - Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?
