When suffering and joy collide

Today was one of those days when we experienced both joy and sadness. It was little Blair's baptism and so as much as we celebrated the moment as a family, we were also very sad that Barry was not present with us. It has been 9 months since his death and emotions are still very raw for all of us, yet in the coming together of family we sensed God's hand upon us. Although it is not always easy to sense, remember that God is present in both joy and suffering.

  • "I believe that suffering and pain can either be a prison or a prism." - Tim Hansel
May God's hand bless and guide you.
