I stumbled upon an article about a Dutch minister who felt he couldn't offer his people any hope in things like 'Life after Death', as well as a lot of other things we believe in the Christian Faith. There are certain 'fundamentals' in our Christian tradition and I firmly believe that 'Eternal Life' is one of them. I have no clear what heaven will look like, but I believe that it exists.
Anyway, I was quite dumbfounded - and I ask how can a Minister publicly declare these things? Sure, we all have doubts from time to time, but surely, it is not helpful to air these to the world?
